About Brantley

Brantley's Story

Brantley David Sedivy was born on September 21, 2019. During normal "sweat testing" a few days after he was born, the doctor's noticed some irregularities. After additional testing, it was confirmed that Brantley had Cystic Fibrosis. Since day 1, Brantley has been all boy, all the time. He has never once let his diagnosis keep him from doing the things he loves. He loves monster trucks, dinosaurs, and playing with his brother, Rylan.

While his day to day is just like any other young kid, Brantley has a lot of added challenges in his life. His strain of Cystic Fibrosis has severely impacted his pancreas. This means that before he eats (every time) he must take enzymes to help his body digest foods the way that it's supposed to. He has regular doctor's visits to get blood drawn and further testing to make sure that he is keeping the disease in check. It is a lot for a young boy to take in. But the minute you meet B-man, you can tell that he does not let any of that phase him.

A large part of Brantley's story is this tournament. Each year, Brantley gets a little older. He's able to understand a little more about what this tournament is all about. It's about showing him the community around him. How much people care about him, and that he's not alone in fighting this disease. The outpouring of support has been truly inspiring.

Words can't describe how much the support means and we look forward to doing our part to find a cure!
